Module 2: COVID-19: How to put on and remove personal protective equipment (PPE)
This guide is for healthcare workers who care for patients in a healthcare setting. It explains what personal protective equipment (PPE) is needed to protect oneself. According to the WHO, for COVID patients, CONTACT and DROPLET precautions are recommended, except for aerosol producing procedures which require CONTACT and AIRBORNE precautions (using a respirator mask like N95, FFP2, FFP3). Remember, PPE is just one part of the infection prevention and control measures for managing COVID-19 patients. Only trained clinical staff should enter the patient’s room.

How to Enroll for TESDA Online Program
Here is the step-by-step guide on how to enroll for the TESDA Online Program Courses and Training
Step 1: Before you can enroll in a TOP course, you need to ensure that you have created an account on the TOP website. To register, simply follow these steps:
- On the TESDA Online Program website click on the Login link and you will be taken to the login page.
- On the “Is this your first time here?” column, click “New Account” hyperlink.
- Fill out the form, fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory. Make sure you provide all the required information to proceed.
- After filling out the form, click “Create my new account”
- After creating your account, a message containing a link to activate your account will be sent to you via email. You just need to click on the link and your account will be activated.
Step 2: Log in to the TOP website using your registered username and password.
Step 3: Once logged in, you will be redirected to the TOP front page where the list of available courses is displayed. Click on the link of the course that you want to enroll in.
Step 4: Next, click on the module title of the module you wish to take.
Step 5: Click on the “Enroll me in this course” link found on the left side of the navigation pane, under the administration panel.
Step 6: A message box will appear asking if you really want to enroll in the module. Click the “Yes” button to proceed.
Step 7: Attend your Online Course and Training at your own pace until you complete the entire course.
Step 8: Once the course is completed, you will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by TESDA to prove that you have indeed finished the online course you have chosen.
Step 9: Claim your TESDA Training Certificate.
Step 10: Take and pass the face-to-face assessment at any TESDA accredited center to get your official National Certification (NC) which you can use when you apply for a job or when you level up your skills and education. Important: Portfolio Evaluation candidates must have at least three (3) months of Shipboard experience as a Cook, assistant cook or Catering Service Personnel as supported by sufficient evidence.
