TESDA and CybersCool Defcon will offer cybersecurity and IT training, assessment, and certification to qualified individuals, including unemployed or underemployed Filipinos aged 18 and above, and certain public sector workers. The partnership aims to improve TESDA competency standards, training regulations, and IT infrastructure to better address emerging cyber threats.

CybersCool Defcon is a global company dedicated to providing comprehensive education and training to the current workforce, including both government and private sectors.

Objectives

  • To deliver skills training, assessment, and certification in cybersecurity and other IT-related fields to qualified beneficiaries.
  • To enhance TESDA’s internal IT infrastructure through the donation of facilities, equipment, supplies, applications, and cybersecurity software.
  • To collaborate on the development, improvement, and validation of TESDA’s competency standards (CS), Training Regulations (TR), competency assessment tools (CATs), and competency-based curriculums (CBC).
  • To support the cybersecurity policy directives issued by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., as outlined in the National Cybersecurity Plan of 2023-2028.
