Among the regional offices of TESDA is the Region 7 office, which is situated in Cebu City. This office caters to Filipinos residing in the Central Visayas Region.
TESDA Region 7 provides scholarships, technical and vocational training programs, language courses, and other services to learners in Central Visayas, which is comprised of Cebu and Bohol provinces.

Cities/Provinces Under TESDA Region 7
TESDA Region 7 covers the provinces of Cebu and Bohol, along with several cities: Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and Tagbilaran City. The regional office is located in Cebu City, which also has a provincial office. In addition, there’s another provincial office in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
Programs and Services
Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) are offered by TESDA Region 7 through several modalities: community-based, center-based, and enterprise-based.
Community Based Programs
For those who belong to the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized sectors, TESDA implements community-based programs. In this manner, even people who usually cannot afford or access formal training programs can enroll in technical vocational courses.
Community-based programs usually include the creation of livelihood enterprises, which will eventually be operated by the learners themselves. These initiatives also include support from non-government organizations (NGOs) and local government units (LGUs), which are committed to helping marginalized communities.
Center Based Programs
Just like in other regions across the country, TESDA Region 7 has established regional and provincial training centers, where most of its TVET programs are conducted. Here are the locations of the training centers in the region:

Enterprise Based Programs
As the name says, enterprise-based programs are facilitated in companies or firms. They come in three main types: Learnership Program, Dual Training System, and Apprenticeship Program.
The Learnership Program is an on-the-job training (OJT) type of program; it usually lasts for around three months or fewer. The Dual Training System, on the other hand, is carried out in two venues: a company/firm, and a school/training center. It focuses on technology-based training and education.
Meanwhile, the Apprenticeship Program is a training and employment program involving an employer and an apprentice; typically, it lasts for about four to six months.
Language Skills Institutes
For Filipinos who are aiming for overseas employment, TESDA offers language and workplace communication courses through its Language Skills Institutes (LSIs). These institutes currently provide courses on English, Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Korean.
You can find TESDA’s LSIs in the region at these locations:

Upon passing the evaluation, trainees receive a certificate and became part of TESDA’s Registry of Certified Workers. This is a pool of workers for different types of jobs across the Philippines.
