School Based Programs

TESDA’s school based programs include TVET programs as well as post-secondary courses not exceeding three years. These courses are carried out in TESDA-administered schools and institutions.

In CARAGA, TESDA’s partner schools and institutions include:

Spanning a period of four to six months, the Apprenticeship Program is a training and employment program that involves an agreement between an employer and an apprentice.

Meanwhile, the Learnership Program is an on-the-job training (OJT) kind of program. It covers a period of three months or less.

Finally, the Dual Training System is a technology-based training and education program. As the name implies, it is conducted in two venues: at the school, and at the company.

Community Based Programs

Imagine a program that not only provides skills training, but also helps the learners establish their own livelihood enterprise? This are the aims of TESDA’s community-based programs, which are designed for the poor, marginalized, and vulnerable sectors.

These programs cater to those who usually cannot afford or access formal training programs. Aside from TESDA, local government units (LGUs), non-government organizations (NGOs), and other stakeholders are involved in these programs.

Language Skills Institutes

Some TESDA learners are aiming to land jobs overseas. For this reason, the agency offers language programs and workplace communication training through its Language Skills Institutes (LSIs). These days, LSIs offer language courses on English, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.

The agency’s LSIs in the CARAGA Region are as follows:
