Trainers’ Qualifications

Trainers delivering the Battery Electric Vehicle Servicing (PUV) Level II course must meet the following requirements:

  1. Training Certification
  • Hold a Training of Trainers Certificate (e.g., Trainer’s Methodology Certificate – TMC), OR
  • Be a practicing trainer for at least 2 years within the last 5 years.
  1. Relevant Experience or Certification

Trainers must meet any one of the following criteria:

  • Possess training certificates related to Electric Vehicles (EV) with at least 2 years of work experience in automotive servicing.
  • Hold a Battery Electric Vehicle Servicing (PUV) Level II training certificate.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in Electric Vehicle servicing within the last 5 years.
  • Be a holder of EIM NCII and ATS Electrical Repair NCII, along with EV-related training certificates.

Additional Notes:

  • EV Training Certificates: Must include a minimum of 40 hours, covering structured training programs with hands-on activities, workshop observation, and certification showing the number of hours.
  • Industry Immersion: Requires 40 hours of industry training, including hands-on activities, workshop observation, and certification showing the number of hours.
