This section outlines the requirements for trainees, encompassing  their educational background and professional experience.

  1. At least a Grade 12 graduate
  2. Able to communicate orally and in writing
  3. Holder of National Certificate for Plumbing NC II or relevant industry experience (plumbing works) for a minimum of 3 years * in all of the following:
  4. Prepare estimation of materials for single plumbing unit
  5. Perform Complex Plumbing Installation and Assemblies
  6. Conduct pipe leak testing
  7. Perform plumbing repair and maintenance works

Note: * Certified by the employer or a Registered Plumber

This list does not include institutional requirements like entrance exams and others mandated by the delivering school or training center.

  2. High School or College Diploma
  3. Certified True Copy of Official Transcript of Records or Form 137
  4. Certificate of Good Moral Character or GMRC
  5. 1 x 1 and/or 2 x 2 pictures

Instructor Credentials

Trainers who will deliver the training on Plumbing NC III should have the following:

  • National TVET Trainers Certificate level I in Plumbing
  • Registered Master Plumber preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in plumbing works, including: Installation of hot, chilled, and/or potable water piping system, Installation of riser/down feed and distribution water supply system, Installation and connection of pumps to the plumbing system, Finishing and trimming of plumbing fixtures and accessories and Drafting of plumbing plan.
  • Computer literacy required
  • Completion of the 40-hour Construction Safety Training Course (COSH) as per Department Order No. 13 s. 1998, conducted by OSHC and DOLE-accredited Safety Training Organizations
