Qualifications
Trainees or students wishing to enroll in this qualification must possess the following qualifications:
- Good communication skills are a must.
- Completed at least ten (10) years of basic education or has an ALS certificate of completion equivalent to grade ten (10).
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years old.
- Physically fit (Certified by a licensed physician, including CBC, Urinalysis, and X-ray)

Instructor’s Qualifications
The trainer qualifications for this Emergency Medical Services NC III require the following:
- Must be a holder of a National TVET Trainers’ Certificate (NTTC) Level I in Emergency Medical Services NC III
- Candidates must have completed training in Emergency Medical Services NC III or a comparable program for Emergency Medical Technicians.
A college graduate must meet one of the following criteria:
- a. Completion of any Allied Medical Course with a minimum of 2 years of active EMS field experience, directly involved in patient handling and management.
- b. Completion of a College degree in any field, along with a minimum of 3 years of active EMS field experience, directly involved in patient handling and management.
NOTE: EMS field experience should be supported by a Certificate of Employment or Service Record and a recommendation letter from a direct supervisor.
