b. Common Construction Industry Units of Competency

c. Core Electrical Units of Competency

Qualifications

To qualify as a trainee for Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC IV, a candidate must be:

  1. Holder of Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC III or equivalent experience and training.
  2. Can communicate both verbally and in writing.
  3. Physically and mentally fit
  4. With good moral character
  5. Can do basic math.

Instructor’s Qualifications

The trainer responsible for the course must have the following qualifications:

  • Graduate with a degree in BS in Industrial Education, Major in Electrical Technology or its equivalent.
  • Must have undergone training in Training Methodology I (TM I)
  • He must hold at least Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC IV.
  • Good moral character
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be physically and mentally fit
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant job/industry experience is required (if specified by the hiring institution).
